Sybil Holds Newborn Sam
In need of something warm and fuzzylike, I decided to draw what pretty much strikes me as the Crowning Moment of Heartwarming in Night Watch, a book which is chock full of Heartwarming, in which we finally get to meet Young Sam. I don't know why, exactly, but I've always sort of had it firmly lodged in my brain that Sybil would have grown her own hair while expecting and probably not being around dragons 24-7, hence the short-ish hair and the touch of silver. The text doesn't mention the color of the shawl Young Sam is wrapped in, but I felt safe in sticking with blue for some reason... Crazy bed headboard modeled after my own.
