Esk Pencil Sketch
Equal Rites is a tremendously fun read, and more importantly, it introduces us to Esmerelda "Granny" Weatherwax, one of the Lancre Witches. The book also raises some rather interesting questions about the nature of magic and gender roles. I partially modeled Esk on one of the moppets who frequents my Sunday School class. Done with graphite pencils and a little neatening up of the scan with Gimp 2.0.
